The Gateway Transactions Tab — What It Shows and Why It Matters

💻
Web Steps
1
The Gateway Transactions tab shows every payment attempt made through the Automated (payment gateway) mode — successful, failed, and pending.
2
Each entry shows the student, amount, gateway used (Razorpay or Cashfree), status, and the date/time of the attempt.
3
Use this tab specifically to check on gateway-related payments — whether a link was paid, whether a payment genuinely went through, or whether it failed and needs to be resent.
4
This is different from the Fee Collections report: Fee Collections shows what a student has paid overall (through any of the 3 modes), while Gateway Transactions shows only the raw, gateway-side record of online payment attempts.
5
This tab also connects to settlement timing — a transaction shown here as 'Successful' is the one that then follows the T+2 (or instant) settlement cycle described in the Settlement article.
💡 Tips & Notes

If a parent says they paid online but it's not reflecting in Fee Collections, check this tab first — it will show whether the gateway genuinely received the payment or whether it failed silently on their end.
